About this expansion

Warhammer: Diskwars – Legions of Darkness is an expansion for 2–4 players, released in 2014, that brings fifty-one new heroes and units to the game. It also adds new command cards and other resources designed to strengthen the forces of Destruction.

The Dark Elves and Skaven each receive a hero and enough units to form a regiment. The most fearsome additions, however, come from the Vampire Counts, whose heroes and units introduce the terrifying Fear and Reanimate X keywords.

• Fear: While a unit with Fear is pinning an enemy, that panicked foe’s counterattack value becomes one.
• Reanimate X: As a focus ability, a unit can choose an Undead disk from its casualty pile and reinforce it onto the battlefield completely within short range.
• Reanimate limits: The value of X determines the size of the disk that can be returned.

A disk brought back by Reanimate reinforces without an activation token, but receives a reanimate token instead. During the end phase, it returns to the casualty pile, making this ability a powerful but temporary way to restore Undead forces.

Legions of Darkness also offers potent opportunities for players who favor Casters. Vampire Counts command cards strongly reward them, while the Dark Elves, Skaven, Orcs, and Chaos receive command cards with similar incentives.

With new forces, resources, and dread necromancy, Warhammer: Diskwars – Legions of Darkness gives players fresh ways to manipulate the essences of life and death while expanding the armies of Destruction.
