About this board game

Warlord: Saga of the Storm is a fast-paced fantasy card game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 10 minutes. Set in the Lands of the Accord, it casts each player as a powerful ruler defending their lands while seeking to destroy every rival Warlord.

Your cards represent the forces, equipment, and tactics available to you on the field of battle. Use these resources as you pursue complete power in a war where there is no alternative to crushing your foes.

Victory follows one uncompromising path: survive. Whenever a player’s Warlord is killed, that player is eliminated from the game. The last remaining player wins the war, making every rival Warlord a decisive target.

Beyond the immediate battle, the cards help unfold a continuing fantasy epic as new card sets are released. This gives the setting an evolving story while keeping the central struggle focused on opposing rulers and their armies.

In January 2008, the Warlord license changed hands. The fourth edition, available July 31, 2008, was handled by PHOENIX Interactive GmbH in Germany and changed the format to a customizable card game, with all cards available in fixed starters. It also introduced a new faction, The Chosen.
