About this board game

Warlords of Europe is an epic area-movement strategy game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 240 minutes. Set in 13th-century Europe, it challenges players to militarily dominate fiefs and castles across the continent and earn the title of Emperor by the Pope.

The game features nine major kingdoms, each divided into vassal fiefs. Players may begin in any of these kingdoms, giving every game a different starting point and creating a unique strategic experience. Each fief has its own terrain, which affects both its economic value and its defensive value.

Warlords of Europe combines careful planning with an unpredictable card system. The Pope, Merchant, and Conquest decks keep the action changing, while good fortune alone is never enough to secure victory. Solid strategy, cautious preparation, and an excellent sense of timing are essential as players compete for control.
