About this board game

We Will Wok You is a tactical card game for 2–4 players that takes about 40 minutes, challenging you to prepare delicious dishes for visitors at a wok music festival.

A thief has stolen your ingredients, so you must rebuild your supplies while finding the best dishes to make. At the start of the game, players lay out 12–18 wok cards, representing available dishes and special kitchen powers. Four rows of ingredient cards create the shared market, with coin cards placed beside them to determine their costs.

On your turn, choose one of three actions: take a coin card, buy all the ingredients in a row, or take a wok card by playing four ingredient cards with matching symbols. The market changes constantly. Taking coins lowers the cost of the two adjacent ingredient rows, while buying ingredients places your payment beside the market and raises future costs.

• Manage a changing market: Replace purchased ingredients with new cards from the deck.
• Choose your timing: Collect coins, purchase ingredients, or claim valuable wok cards.
• Build scoring combinations: Use ingredients from your table or hand to activate different wok effects.

When both ingredient rows beside a coin row are empty, every player receives one final turn before the game ends. Players then evaluate their woks. Some provide fixed points, while others need specific ingredient combinations, reward certain ingredient types, or score only cards kept in hand.

Men at wok cards add further possibilities by boosting particular wok types, substituting one ingredient for another, or turning a wok into a fixed number of points without requiring ingredients. In We Will Wok You, careful spending and clever card combinations determine who earns the most points and wins.
