About this board game

Weather Machine is a board game for 2–4 players with a 150-minute playtime, released in 2022. You are scientists on Professor Sêni Lativ’s team, working to control local weather while developing a new prototype of his remarkable invention.

The machine can adjust rainfall for farms, maintain wind and clear skies for ecological energy sources, and alter temperatures for resorts and sporting events. Its apparent success, however, hides a dangerous problem: every use changes conditions somewhere else on the planet, creating a growing butterfly effect.

Your team must help rein in this global threat before Earth’s atmosphere becomes too harsh for Homo sapiens and other species. Professor Lativ’s plan depends not only on scientific focus, but also on obtaining the materials needed to improve the machine and respond efficiently to the crisis.

• Manage the consequences of the machine’s far-reaching side effects.
• Secure suppliers for the bots and chemicals required for a new prototype.
• Stay focused and efficient as time becomes increasingly important.

In Weather Machine, every attempt to solve one environmental problem may create another elsewhere. The agents must give a crisp nod to the professor’s ambitious plan and work toward getting the next prototype right before conditions spiral beyond control.
