About this board game

Welcome to Reckoning is a solo thematic hand-management and survival game for 1 player, designed to play in about 30 minutes. Set in a corrupted mining town of the weird west, it challenges you to endure a supernatural onslaught while preparing a winning poker hand.

The recent discovery of a substance called Dust has allowed time to be warped, but its disastrous side effects have left most of Reckoning corrupted. Your small posse is all that remains, and escape depends on securing a ticket aboard the wagon out of town.

As you move through the deck of event cards, you must try to get the warehouse and keep it from being overrun. Spectral riders, tentacles from the deep, and raging fires stand between you and survival, while harsh weather adds to the danger.

• Hand management: Work with your cards as you respond to the unfolding events.
• Poker-hand objective: Assemble a set of matching cards to secure your escape.
• Weird-west threats: Endure spectral forces, deep-sea tentacles, fires, and harsh weather.

Every event brings you closer to the wagon while increasing the pressure on your dwindling chances. If the warehouse is overrun, or you cannot put together a set of matching cards, your posse will not survive.

With its apocalyptic Dust, haunted frontier setting, and tense card-driven objective, Welcome to Reckoning offers a compact battle for survival in a town where escape depends on playing the right hand.
