About this board game

We’re Sinking! is a secret action-taking survival game for 3–6 players, with games lasting around 90 minutes. Take on the role of pirates aboard a ship under siege, where every turn brings a difficult choice: work together to save the vessel, or pursue valuable loot for yourself.

The ship is threatened by one of four enemies: the kraken, skeleton pirates, the megalodon, or sirens. As damage accumulates, the crew must repair the ship, manage rising water, and fire the cannons while trying to defeat the threat before the vessel goes down.

Each turn, players discuss which actions to take, with plenty of room for bluffing and suspicion. Everyone then secretly selects an action on a hidden compass dial. The choices are placed face down and revealed simultaneously, creating a tense test of teamwork, timing, and trust.

• Bucket: Decrease the current water level.
• Patch: Fix breaches and a busted cannon.
• Fire: Fire the cannons at the enemy.
• Plunder: Steal revealed loot cards.

If the crew defeats the threat, the game ends and victory goes to the pirate with the largest treasure score. But if the ship sinks first, the goal changes completely: the pirate with the fewest cards in hand wins, light enough to flee on the lifeboat.

With its hidden choices, simultaneous reveals, shifting incentives, and pirate-themed survival dilemma, We’re Sinking! turns every action into a question of loyalty: save the ship, defeat the enemy, or keep enough treasure to become a legend.
