About this board game
Wild Life: The Card Game is a quick, competitive card game for 2–7 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. Build sets of animals, protect them through each cycle, and earn points while disrupting your opponents.
At the beginning of your turn, you have six cards in hand and must play three. Animal cards come in four types: small, large, flying, and aquatic. Each type is worth a different number of points, provided the animals survive until the end of the cycle.
Ecosystem enhancer cards can multiply the points you earn, but other players can threaten your plans. Use the predator to eliminate one animal from an opponent, or play the hunter to remove every animal of one type from a player. Catastrophes, including fire and water pollution, affect everyone—even the player who uses them.
- Collect animal sets and score them at the end of each cycle.
- Use ecosystem enhancers to increase your points.
- Target opponents with predators and hunters.
- Trigger fire or water pollution catastrophes that affect all players.
Designed around simplicity, fun, high player interaction, and environmental awareness, Wild Life: The Card Game combines accessible set collection with direct take-that effects. Its handmade illustrations were created by Leo Cordoba, who is also one of the designers.
The base game includes the Attain Life expansion for six and seven players. Released in 2021, the game earned several Mexican design honors, including first place at the 2019 Zapada Ludica contest and the 2020 Mega XP board game design contest.
