About this board game
Witches of the Revolution is a cooperative board game for 1–4 players, with a play time of about 60 minutes. Players lead covens of witches during the war for independence, working together to help a fledgling nation break free from tyranny.
The colonies of the Americas once offered refuge to the persecuted, but freedom now demands action. Across the game, players must recruit powerful allies, unleash potent relics, and overcome menacing Event cards while pursuing four essential Objectives.
Cooperation and resource decisions shape every game. Will your group specialize in a particular approach, or prepare for anything? Assisting allies may spread your resources thin, but it can also unlock the success needed to fulfill your goals.
- Work together as covens in a cooperative contest.
- Recruit allies and unleash potent relics.
- Manage menacing Events as they advance along the Event Line.
- Complete four Objectives before the available time runs out.
The players win by completing all four Objectives. Their victory score ranges from one to seven, determined by the position of the Liberty Track marker when the final Objective is achieved.
Failure can arrive in several ways: the Liberty Track may reach maximum Tyranny, an Event card may reach its relevant loss space on the Event Line, or the last card in the Event deck may be added to the Event Line before the players win by the end of that turn.
With its shared objectives, escalating Events, and difficult resource questions, Witches of the Revolution challenges your group to balance immediate assistance with the larger fight for freedom.
