Word on the Street Junior

About this board game

Word on the Street Junior is a word game for 2–8 players that plays in about 30 minutes. Players respond to categories by choosing words, then move the letters in those words toward their side of the street.

The central challenge is finding a word that fits the category while helping you gain control of important letters. Each chosen word changes the position of its letters, creating a contest as players or teams work to pull them across the board.

To win, a player or team must move eight letters off their side of the board. The objective is simple to understand, while every category invites players to think of a useful answer and consider how its letters can advance their position.

Word on the Street Junior is designed for younger players, with categories appropriate for ages 8 and up. It also includes the complete alphabet, rather than the 17 letters included in its 2009 parent game. Including vowels can make it easier for younger players to form words without having to strain for answers containing less commonly used consonants.
