Word Whimsy is a party game for 3–7 players that takes about 30 minutes to play, using prompt cards and word cards to create themed titles or phrases.

Each round begins with a prompt card that establishes the theme. Prompts can range from “Good Name for a Metal Band” to “Most Likely to Win in a Fight,” giving players a specific idea to interpret with the words available to them.

Players then use their word cards to build a title or phrase that fits the current theme. The goal is to create an entry that stands out as the best response to the prompt, using the cards to form a fitting combination of words.
