World at War: The Untold Stories is a two-player war game with approximately 60 minutes of play time, portraying the struggle of previously uncovered Warsaw Pact and NATO allies in the opening days of the war that ended all wars.

Command forces from Canada, East Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, and Belgium as they fight desperately to survive. The twelve included scenarios offer a broad range of matchups, including Canadians against Poles, East Germans against Danes, and Belgians against Russians.

Players can deploy distinctive equipment from these nations, including Belgian and Canadian Leopard I tanks, Lynx armored personnel carriers, East German BTR-152s, Polish T-72s, and Dutch Centurions. Scenarios include the Canadian 31 Brigade Group battling Soviet T-80s with Leopard I tanks, as well as East German T-72s fighting their West German brethren.

The game expands the battlefield with three 11 x 17-inch geomorphic mounted maps. These maps add variety to the included scenarios and can also be used to create new World at War stories.
