About this board game

World in War: Combined Arms 1939-1945 is a World War II strategy game for 2–4 players, with sessions lasting about 120 minutes.

Players represent the German East and West fronts, the Soviet Union, or the Western Powers. Each side manages resources, produces new troops, moves units, and engages enemy forces while working toward control of opposing production centers.

The game focuses on modern combat tactics and the use of combined arms. Different ground troops, warships, and aircraft can be brought together, while the innovative battle system uses separate battle wheels for land and sea combat. These wheels reduce the influence of die-rolling luck and encourage players to build well-balanced forces.

In the three- and four-player variants, cooperation must be balanced against competition because only one player can ultimately win. This creates a strategic contest in which shared opposition and individual victory goals exist side by side.
