World Monuments

About this board game

World Monuments is a 2016 board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting approximately 45 minutes. Players take on the role of master builders and compete to construct a monumental building of historic significance.

At the beginning of each game, the players choose one of four famous buildings to create. From there, construction begins from the ground up, turning the chosen landmark into the focus of the game.

• Basilica San Pietro in Rome
• The Taj Mahal mausoleum in Agra

Each building offers a distinctive historical setting, while the central challenge remains the same: demonstrate your skill as a master builder. You and your fellow players work through the construction of the selected monument, with the competition continuing until the building is completed.

When construction is finished, only the most talented master builder gains many points and has a chance of winning the game. World Monuments combines the appeal of famous architecture with a direct contest for recognition, making the completed landmark the culmination of every game.

Whether the table is focused on Washington, Paris, Rome, or Agra, the game places historic monuments at the heart of the experience. Choose the building, take part in its construction, and aim to emerge as the master builder whose work earns the greatest reward.
