World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

About this board game

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is a cooperative Pandemic System board game for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Set on the frozen continent of Northrend, it challenges legendary heroes from across Azeroth to face the armies of the Lich King.

Players travel across a board filled with forts, temples, battlegrounds, and other locations. Together, they establish strongholds, complete quests, and fight the growing Scourge before advancing toward the final assault on Icecrown Citadel.

Each hero has unique abilities that can help both in and out of combat. Choose from figures such as Thrall, Warchief of the Horde; Varian Wrynn, King of Stormwind; and Sylvanas Windrunner, Banshee Queen of the Forsaken, alongside many other heroes from Azeroth.

• Battle undead hordes: Roll dice against ghouls and ferocious abominations as the Scourge spreads across the board.
• Use hero cards: Add power to attacks, block incoming assaults, heal wounds, take mounts to distant spaces, and more.
• Complete quests: Work as a team through combinations of dice rolls and hero cards, while facing each quest’s dangers and hindrances.

As the game progresses, more undead populate the board, increasing the pressure on the heroes. The quests provide a new mechanism for overcoming the Lich King’s dark magic and terrible creatures, bringing your team closer to the confrontation at Icecrown Citadel.

With its familiar Pandemic System gameplay adapted to the Wrath of the Lich King setting, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King brings cooperative adventure, tactical combat, and a race across Northrend to the tabletop.
