About this board game
Wyatt Earp is a 2–4 player card game about bounty hunters pursuing notorious outlaws, with each game lasting around 45 minutes.
Set in the tough Wild West, players take the roles of sheriffs chasing legendary figures such as Jesse James, Butch Cassidy, and the Sundance Kid. The goal is to capture famous outlaws and earn more money in rewards than the other players.
Players work cooperatively and competitively, collecting and playing sets of cards for the different outlaws. Whenever a player plays a set, it adds to that outlaw’s reward while also improving the player’s chances of collecting part of the bounty.
- Collect and play card sets linked to notorious outlaws.
- Add to rewards and strengthen your claim on each bounty.
- Receive money for the outlaws you helped capture at the end of each hand.
- Compete across several hands to finish with the most reward money.
The game balances shared pursuit with personal ambition: helping capture an outlaw can increase the available reward, but rival sheriffs are also trying to profit from the same target. Every hand brings another opportunity to chase valuable criminals and improve your position.
After several hands, the player who has collected the most money wins. While it is not officially included in the series, Wyatt Earp is often considered part of the Mystery Rummy series, and it is the first game in the Alea small box series.
