About this board game

Xenon Profiteer is a thematic deck-deconstruction euro game for 2–4 players that takes about 30 minutes to play.

Each player controls an Air Separation Facility and seeks to distill valuable Xenon from atmospheric air. Build your operation by adding upgrades, pipelines, and new contracts, then connect them to your Center Console as your facility grows.

Rather than simply adding cards to a deck, Xenon Profiteer makes removing cards essential. At the beginning of each turn, strategically remove cards from your hand and deck through Distilling, following the real-world hierarchy of elements. Your goal is to have only Xenon remaining in your hand, but gaining more Xenon requires bringing in more AIR—and AIR contains many other elements that complicate the process.

• Distill your systems: Deconstruct your deck to isolate Xenon.
• Improve your facility: Buy powerful upgrade cards and choose whether to add them to your system or install them permanently.
• Expand your operation: Build upgrades, pipelines, and contracts connected to your Center Console.
• Use bid tokens: Reserve an important upgrade or contract for a discount later, while making other players pay you extra if they purchase it.

Contracts provide lucrative objectives, while installed upgrades can increase your efficiency throughout the game. The end is triggered when a player completes five contracts or installs five upgrades. The player with the most Xenon points wins.

With its unusual focus on deck removal, facility development, and tactical bidding, Xenon Profiteer challenges you to turn difficult atmospheric separation into a successful Xenon-supply business.
