Xia: Missions and Powers

About this expansion

Xia: Missions and Powers is a mini-expansion for Xia: Legends of a Drift System for 1–5 players, released in 2018.

This 54-card expansion adds new choices and more interactive objectives to Xia. Its 21 new ship powers provide one option for each existing player ship, letting players choose a power whenever they acquire a ship.

The new powers are balanced with the existing powers while offering greater reliability. They can also be used multiple times per turn, creating new permutations for ship powers across different games.

• 21 new ship powers: one for each existing player ship, with a choice available whenever that ship is acquired.
• 32 new missions: eight missions in each of four new types—Transport, Assist, Counterfeit, and BOOM!
• One rules and credits card.

The new missions are easier to start than most existing missions because they require only a sector type, such as Ice Asteroid, rather than a specific sector. This makes them more accessible, particularly when missions can be difficult to complete in the early game.

These missions also end at players, making them more interactive and easier to complete early on. With additional powers and mission types, Xia: Missions and Powers broadens the available combinations while adding more player interaction to the drift system.
