About this board game
Your Town is a solo comic-book adventure and town-building game for one player, with an approximate play time of 150 minutes. Set in the vast American Wild West, it places you in a small town that you have decided to improve and make prosper.
You are the mayor, and your responsibilities reach far beyond simply choosing where to go. Build buildings, hire qualified staff, buy land, and manage your finances as you work to develop the town. Your progress is recorded on a character sheet inspired by role-playing games, tracking your possessions, special abilities, coins, and victory points.
The game is part of a series subtitled “The comic in which you are the hero”. You follow the panels of an immersive story, making choices about what to do and where to go. Those panels contain clues, riddles, and traps, so careful observation and clever problem-solving are essential.
- Solo play: designed for one player.
- Town development: build, hire, buy land, and manage finances.
- Adventure storytelling: guide your progress through comic panels and meaningful choices.
- Puzzle solving: use visual perception to discover clues and resolve riddles.
- Character tracking: record possessions, abilities, coins, and victory points.
Released in 2016, Your Town combines the decisions of an adventure game with the challenge of managing a growing settlement. The choices you make shape your progress, but success is not guaranteed: like any game, the adventure can end in defeat—and sometimes very badly.
