Z War One: Damnation is a 1–5 player episodic comic book miniature board game, with sessions lasting about 120 minutes. Blending survival horror, role-playing themes, and tactical combat, it delivers a cinematic gaming experience in which the comic’s story drives the action on the board.

The heart of the game is its 1–4 player cooperative comic book campaign. Players take control of one of four main protagonists, complete chapters, and earn vital experience points to upgrade their characters. These improvements are essential as the scenarios become increasingly nightmarish.

The Season One campaign spans six issues and 26 chapters. Each chapter builds toward a climax played on the game board, while time limits and set pieces keep the story moving at a breakneck pace. Missions share a core set of mechanics but vary widely in tone, from exploration and tense survival horror to pitched battles and daring escapes.
