About this expansion

Zombicide: Experience Deck is a 110-card expansion for 1–6 players that adds Experience Mode to Zombicide, with games lasting about 60 minutes. It lets Survivors develop additional Skills during play and carry those acquired abilities into later missions.

When a Survivor reaches a new Danger Level for the first time, he gains his normal Skill and chooses an Experience Card. Each card grants a particular Skill, often associated with a specific weapon. Reaching the next Danger Level provides another normal Skill choice and another Experience Card.

  • Gain extra Skills as your Survivor progresses.
  • Choose Experience Cards when reaching previously unreached Danger Levels.
  • Carry acquired Experience Cards into subsequent missions.

At the start of a new mission, Equipment and Experience reset normally, but Experience Cards are discarded only if the Survivor is eliminated for good. The Survivor begins with the Blue Level Skill and all Skills granted by the Experience Cards gained so far. He does not receive another card for reaching a Danger Level already reached in an earlier mission, but can gain new cards when advancing into levels not previously reached.

In a normal game, a Survivor can accumulate up to three Experience Cards: one for the first time he reaches Yellow, one for Orange, and one for Red. Ultrared Mode can allow additional cards when advancing beyond Red.

With Resurrection Mode, the Zombivor version keeps all Experience Cards as long as the Survivor is not eliminated. In later missions, however, he must start as a Zombivor to retain them. Zombicide: Experience Deck was also included in the Ultimate Survivors #1 box.
