About this board game

Imperium: Legends is a strategy game for 1–4 players, with games lasting around 160 minutes, in which you lead one of eight radically asymmetric civilizations toward imperial dominance. Under constant threat of attack, you must balance territorial expansion with scientific and cultural advances while guiding your people through a changing age of history.

Choose from the Arthurian, Atlantian, Egyptian, Mauryan, Minoan, Olmec, Qin, or Utopian civilization. Each offers a distinct path to power, creating an experience shaped by your chosen nation and the decisions you make. Expand too rapidly and unrest may bring your civilization to its knees; develop too slowly and you risk becoming a footnote of history.

• Eight asymmetric civilizations: Explore radically different nations, from the Arthurian and Atlantian civilizations to the Egyptian, Mauryan, Minoan, Olmec, Qin, and Utopian peoples.
• Competitive and solo play: Play with up to four players or face an individual solo opponent behaving as each nation.
• Three key actions: On your turn, activate, innovate, or revolt before cleaning up.

Imperium: Legends unfolds over a series of rounds. The player to the left of the solstice card takes the first turn, followed by the other players clockwise. After resolving an action and cleaning up, the next player takes their turn; when the solstice card lies between you and the player to your left, the round ends.

Play continues until scoring or collapse is triggered. The player with the most victory points wins, rewarding a carefully managed rise from vulnerable civilization to powerful empire. The game is also fully compatible with Imperium: Classics, allowing players to expand their pool of civilizations even further.
