About this board game

Endangered Orphans of Condyle Cove is a tabletop survival game for 1–4 players, with play lasting about 30 minutes. Players take turns moving around the board and choosing options that can either help their own orphan survive or make an opponent’s orphan suffer.

The game presents a grim contest in which every orphan is endangered. An orphan is taken by the boogeyman when it runs out of options or, in an act of desperation, reveals the boogeyman. The game ends when all but one orphan have been taken, and the last surviving orphan wins.

Its premise is deliberately bleak: the game describes itself as devoid of joy, hope, or humor, while also being far more awesome than it has any right to be. This stark tone is central to the experience as players deal with survival, suffering, and the ever-present threat of the boogeyman.
