Pantone: The Game

Pantone: The Game is a color-based guessing game for 2–20 players, with approximately 20 minutes of play time. One player becomes the artist and represents a character using only color swatch cards, while everyone else tries to identify the choice.

At the beginning, each player receives four Character Cards. Everyone reviews their cards and discards one character they may not know or may find difficult to represent. The remaining three cards stay hidden from the other players, giving each person a selection of possible characters for the game.

When it is their turn, the artist chooses a character card and creates a representation using only the available swatches. The other players then take turns guessing who the character is. The challenge comes from communicating an identity through color alone, without using any other type of representation.

If nobody identifies the character during a round, a hint is given at the start of the next round. Each hint lowers the number of points awarded to both the artist and the player who eventually guesses the character correctly, making an early solution more valuable.

Scoring continues until every player has acted as the artist three times. Whoever has the most points at that point wins. With support for up to 20 players and a compact 2018 release, Pantone: The Game offers a shared guessing experience built around character cards, limited color choices, and increasingly helpful hints.
