About this board game
Casinopolis is a 15-minute tile-laying puzzle game for 1–4 players, in which you build a casino strip, connect roads, and pursue jackpots while trying to beat a changing target score.
This standalone entry in the Sprawlopolis line uses 18 double-sided cards. One side provides map blocks, while the reverse side presents unique scoring conditions. At the start, three goal cards are randomly dealt to establish the game’s 1-, 2-, and 3-chip bets, with the higher bet making its goal more valuable.
Players take turns adding one card to the expanding map. Cards must be aligned horizontally and may be placed next to or overlapping cards already in play. Each card contains four blocks divided among three casino colors; adjacent blocks of the same color combine to form larger casinos.
- Grow casinos and compete for the largest group of each color beside the Strip.
- Manage roads, which cost points unless connected segments reduce their impact.
- Line up matching lucky symbols on shared roads to create valuable jackpots.
- Evaluate three unique goals, worth 1, 2, or 3 points per qualifying instance.
Blocks can contain up to two roads, and the longest road at the end of the game becomes the Strip. After all 15 cards have been played, score 1 point per block from the largest casino of each type adjacent to the Strip, then lose 1 point for every road.
Next, resolve the goals in order, then score each run of three or more matching lucky symbols connected along a shared road for 1 point per icon. Add the three numbers shown on the goal cards to find the target, and win by scoring higher than it. With its blend of spatial planning, road management, and calculated luck, Casinopolis challenges you to make every block pay off.
