About this board game
Sergeants Miniatures Game: Day of Days is a card-driven board game with miniatures for 2–6 players, featuring approximately 180 minutes of play. Each player commands troops through a deck built from the soldiers under their control.
Cards drive the impulses that take place during each turn, making your forces’ individual qualities central to play. A soldier’s cards reflect abilities and traits such as shooting skill, movement speed, and attraction to fresh milk, hot food, or loot.
The base game includes common Soldiers called Characters, while other soldiers in Day of Days and those purchased separately have unique characteristics. These differences are balanced according to a complex mathematical formula, but players discover each soldier’s strengths and weaknesses through play.
- Card-driven impulses during each turn
- Moveable mapboard tiles
- Hand-painted 20mm miniatures by FAA
- Scenarios and several decks of cards
- Soldiers with distinct abilities and traits
Because every soldier brings a different combination of capabilities and behavior, success depends on learning how to get the best from the troops in your command. The result is a miniatures experience where deck composition and battlefield decisions are closely connected.
Released in 2011, Day of Days includes everything needed to play, from its moveable mapboard tiles and miniatures to its scenarios and cards. Additional Soldiers provide more choices and add further variety to the Sergeants Miniatures Game system.
