About this board game
Star Trek: The Adventure Game is a 1985 exploration game for 1–2 players, with approximately 120 minutes of play time. One player represents the United Federation of Planets, while the other commands the Klingon Empire; solo play is also possible.
With outright war forbidden by the Organian Treaty, both interstellar powers compete to increase their prestige and size. Each sends a starship across the immense distances of space to discover, explore, and claim unknown planets.
When a starship reaches a planet, you choose a course of action and consult the special planet adventure booklet to learn how the world and its inhabitants respond. You may persuade a new world to join your federation or empire, force it to join, or suffer a dangerous setback that could cost you a starship.
Play is simple, but successful exploration does not come easily. Every encounter presents an uncertain reaction, making each newly discovered planet a potential gain—or a serious loss.
