The Rocketeer: Fate of the Future is a two-player game of heroic daring and villainous ambition, with sessions lasting approximately 45 minutes. Set above the city of angels, it pits the heroes against the villains in a struggle over a revolutionary rocket and the future of flight.

The mysterious Rocketeer can blast through the skies with an ingenious jet-pack, but the rocket’s blueprints are in danger. Hollywood actor Neville Sinclair is scheming to steal them, hoping this breakthrough of modern engineering can serve a darker future of warfare. One player takes the heroes, while the other commands the villains.

On each turn, choose one of your characters and take an action with them. You may also play cards from your hand that match that character’s symbol, creating opportunities to shape the contest as the characters work across the city.

• Move characters around the locations.
• Tussle with opposing characters in combat.
• Gain Grit to support your plans.
• As the heroes, raise the Rocket Token.
• As the villains, recruit a Soldier.

Players alternate turns until all six characters—three on each side—have taken actions and become exhausted. The round then concludes with rewards based on control of the locations, before the players prepare for a new round.

The game’s ending is tied to the Luxembourg Zeppelin. When it reaches Los Angeles, players complete the final round and then determine the outcome. With its opposing sides, character-driven actions, card play, and changing location control, The Rocketeer: Fate of the Future turns a race for the rocket’s blueprints into a focused two-player confrontation.
