Forgotten Depths

About this board game

Forgotten Depths is a cooperative dungeon adventure for 1–3 players, with play time of approximately 135 minutes. Combining distinctive tile laying and hand management mechanics, it challenges heroes to explore a changing dungeon, grow stronger, and reach its depths.

The objective is to destroy the powerful entity at the bottom of the dungeon. Exploration creates the level’s layout as you play and reveals Ecology Elements. You decide when and where to encounter the elements you discover, then return to exploring after each encounter.

Experience points earned through exploration are valuable and scarce. Use them to improve your heroes by purchasing abilities and spells, while also weighing the need to spend XP on healing and keys. Finding and equipping items adds another important part of character progression.

Each of the three dungeon-level ecologies features its own monsters, features, and hard-to-find Legendary Locations. The game includes 30 unique Monsters and 30 unique dungeon Features, with no repeated Monster or Feature during a playthrough.
