About this board game

Disney Gargoyles: Awakening is a 2021 board game for 2–5 players, with games lasting around 60 minutes. Based on the television show, it places players in a three-dimensional cityscape depicting Manhattan as seen in the cartoon.

Players take the roles of six available characters: Goliath, Brooklyn, Lexington, Broadway, Hudson, or NYPD detective Elisa Maza. Together, they face the villains Xanatos and Demona across four different scenarios, each presenting its own conflict and objective.

Three scenarios are co-operative, bringing players together against threats from the story. The fourth changes the format: one player controls Xanatos and the Steel Clan, while the other players take on the Gargoyles and attempt to stop them.

• Reawakening: Face Xanatos and Demona while trying to save Coldstone’s mind.
• Temptation and Magic: Defeat Demona after she steals the Grimorum Arcanorum to enslave innocents.
• Information Warfare: Collect three stolen data disks on behalf of Xanatos.
• Battle with the Steel Clan: Stop Xanatos and the Steel Clan before they defeat a hero or destroy the police tower.

With its rooftop-ready city setting, recognizable characters, and changing scenario goals, Disney Gargoyles: Awakening offers a focused tabletop adaptation of the animated series. Players can experience cooperative challenges in three scenarios, then face an opposing player in the final battle.
