Warband: Against the Darkness is a competitive fantasy board game for 2–5 players, with an approximate play time of 60 minutes. Players command the warband army of one of the great races of the Five Realms as the united realms fight to survive an invasion by ancient infernal creatures.

The Darkness has ravaged the continent, forcing former rivals to stand together in mutual defense. Yet this alliance is temporary, and the game is not cooperative: each player must ensure their own race earns more battle prestige and honor than its untrustworthy comrades.

The final campaigns unfold across four battle fronts, each positioned near a border landmark separating the kingdoms. Victory comes from building your race’s reputation and influence while the war against the Darkness reaches its decisive conclusion.

These achievements provide Victory Points of one-upmanship for your race. When the final battle ends, the player with the most Victory Points claims the greatest leadership glory and wins.
