About this board game

Blockbuster Returns is a movie-themed party game for 4–10 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. This 2020 sequel can be played on its own or combined with The Blockbuster Party Game for an expanded movie-night challenge.

Open the VHS box, unfold the gameboard, and divide into two teams. The game begins with the Head-to-Head Buzzer Round, where one player from each team races to name a movie matching the description on a Head-to-Head Card. With only 15 seconds on the timer, players must think quickly and hit the buzzer to send the challenge back to their opponent.

Next comes Triple Charades Jeopardy. Each player receives three Movie Cards and has 30 seconds to help their team guess every title. Depending on the card, clues can be given with just one word, a memorable line from the film, or an acted-out performance.

When a team guesses a Movie Card correctly, it adds that card to its collection. The first team to collect two cards from each of the four categories wins, rewarding broad movie knowledge, quick thinking, and creative communication.

With brand-new categories and Head-to-Head Cards, Blockbuster Returns brings fresh content to the format while retaining its lively mix of naming games and performance-based clues. The Big Potato Buzzer is available as a free download on the App Store or Google Play, and the game can be combined with the original for a mega-game.
