About this board game

Aldarra is a 4X combat-focused strategy game for 2–4 players, with sessions lasting around 180 minutes. Choose one of four mighty factions and compete to become the new ruler of a long-lost nation.

Begin from your stronghold and venture into unexplored territories, expanding your control while confronting rival fleets. Use combat, exploration, and careful resource management to build your forces and pursue victory. The faction you select brings its own history, strengths, and unique abilities, creating different strategic paths across the game.

Manage and extract the resources and Sordalite crystals needed to grow, replenish, and upgrade your fleet. Claim profitable territories, complete secondary objectives, and collect victory points as you push farther into Aldarra. Strategic positioning and the timing of your faction’s abilities can help you outmaneuver opponents and seize control of this magical land.

Once a prosperous empire of Sordane, Aldarra was destroyed by a catastrophic convergence storm powered by magical energy from the planet’s core. For centuries, its land remained uninhabitable, but the magical radiation has now begun to subside. Expeditions are returning with stories of lost riches, drawing nations, corporations, crime lords, and rival factions into a dangerous struggle for control.

Aldarra brings that conflict to the table with a substantial collection of components, including 152 detailed plastic miniatures, 49 territory tiles, custom eight-sided dice, exploration cards, secondary objective cards, discovery mini cards, crystals, coins, and player dashboards.
