About this board game

Genius Star is a 1–2-player race to complete a six-sided star board by fitting triangular-cell blocks around a randomly generated arrangement of obstacles.

Each puzzle begins with seven dice. Roll them, then place a blocker piece into the triangle matching each number shown. With the obstacle configuration set, race your opponent to fill every other space on the grid using the 11 shapes.

• Randomized setup: Seven dice create a new blocker configuration for each puzzle.
• Spatial puzzle challenge: Fit 11 triangular-cell shapes into the remaining spaces of the star-shaped board.
• Double-win bonus: Complete the puzzle while also forming the golden star icon.

The golden star adds an extra objective beyond simply filling the board. To achieve the special double win, you must both complete the puzzle and form the golden star icon, creating an additional challenge for players seeking the best possible result.

Presented as more challenging than its predecessor, Genius Square, Genius Star offers 165,888 possible puzzles. According to the publisher, 57.4% of these puzzles have a golden star solution, making the bonus objective an intriguing part of the puzzle landscape.
