About this board game

Mint Tin Mini Apocalypse is a simultaneous two-player survival game that plays in about 10 minutes. In the chaos of an unfolding apocalypse, get your meeps moving, secure the fallout shelter, recover supplies, and seal the lid before a giant monster catches up.

Each player dumps out the tin, chooses a color, and places four meeps lying down with one standing on their side of the tin. The tin represents the Fallout Shelter, or FoS. A monster, its green die, and two white supply boxes are placed nearby, setting up a compact race for safety.

Both players roll their matching dice at the same time rather than taking turns. Your actions are triggered by 7s, letting you stand a meep, help another to its feet, move a standing meep into the FoS, or knock down an opponent. You can also toss an opponent out of the shelter, provided you already have one meep inside.

  • Send a recon pair from the FoS to collect a supply box.
  • Stand or knock down meeps in the recon pair.
  • Drag a supply box into the FoS with a standing recon pair.
  • Seal the FoS with at least four of your meeps inside and one supply box to win.

The shelter can hold a maximum of seven meeps, while the monster adds a separate threat. Choose among three modes—UHOH, OMG, or CRA-CRA—before play begins. UHOH activates the monster die when a supply box reaches the FoS; OMG activates it immediately for a faster game.

Once active in UHOH mode, matching rolls of the monster die’s face-up number lower it by one. When it reaches 1, double ones end the game unless a player sacrifices an outside standing meep onto the monster die. Fast, direct, and easy to set up, Mint Tin Mini Apocalypse packs a desperate shelter scramble into a tiny game.
