About this board game

Silent War 2.0 is a one-player, 120-minute solitaire simulation of the United States Navy submarine war against Imperial Japan in World War II.

As Commander of Submarines, U.S. Pacific Fleet, you deploy your boats for maximum effect while attempting to limit submarine losses. The Pacific is divided into Operations Areas, where submarines move and patrol in search of Japanese shipping.

Scenarios range from famous short patrols by a single submarine to small campaigns lasting about a year, culminating in a grand campaign covering the entire Pacific War. Each U.S. submarine deployed in the Pacific is represented by its own full-color counter, accurately illustrated from the side.

This Deluxe 2nd Edition incorporates the IJN expansion, adding major Imperial Japanese Navy warships, large destroyer escorts, and major auxiliary cargo ships and tankers. Two countersheets provide 336 new playing pieces, with rules that integrate them into the game.
