About this board game

Nautilus Industries is a 60-minute board game for 2–6 players, released in 2015, in which enterprising business owners compete to exploit the riches of the sea and the marketplace.

Nemo is gone, but his machines have opened the floors of Neptune’s seas. Equip and upgrade your mining machines, guide them toward valuable mineral seams, and manage the supply of resources to influence the market in your favor.

Each round, every player takes three actions before the market phase. These actions can include programming a mining robot, increasing warehouse capacity, changing the order of mining zones, or purchasing stocks.

• Program mining robots to collect underwater resources.
• Increase warehouse capacity to manage what you gather.
• Swap the order of mining zones to affect how resources are mined.
• Purchase stocks and respond to changing company values.

During the market phase, players collect and sell resources in turn order. Each sea zone is mined in a specific order, and you must decide whether to sell your resources immediately or hold them for a later round.

Supply and demand drive the market. Selling a resource lowers its market price, while holding it causes the price to rise. At the same time, stocks of the company using that resource increase in value when the resource is sold.

These connected systems create a shifting economic contest. Should you flood the market to reduce a rival’s earnings, or hold out for a higher price? With simple actions but dynamic markets, stocks, and player interaction, Nautilus Industries challenges you to choose the right moment to mine, sell, and invest—and finish with the most money.
