About this board game

Wodny szlak is a tile-laying board game for 1–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. Set in a time when rivers were the easiest way to move timber and grain, it challenges players to develop a connected waterway and score the most points after 13 rounds.

Each turn, every player chooses one tile from three available options and places it next to one of their existing tiles. Every addition can shape the flow of the river, create new connections, or help deliver cargo to the mills that reward successful planning.

The central challenge in Wodny szlak is managing the river current. Timber and grain can be floated only downstream, while each watermill or sawmill blocks further advancement. Carefully consider the order and direction of your deliveries so that cargo reaches the right destination.

• Score for watermills supplied with grain.
• Score for sawmills supplied with timber.
• Earn points for the longest undisturbed connection between two wharfs.
• Score for meadows made from three or four tiles.

With only 13 rounds, every tile placement matters. The three available tiles provide a changing set of choices, while the developing board makes it important to balance immediate deliveries with longer connections and meadow scoring.

At the end of the game, players total the points from their completed boards. The player with the highest score wins, making Wodny szlak a compact contest of tile placement, river navigation, and cargo delivery.
