About this board game

Market Fresh is a stacking, tile-placement game for 1 to 4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Take the role of a vendor at a local farmers market and build your stall by strategically stacking Produce Crates.

On your turn, take a crate from the supply or choose one of the available face-up crates, then add it to your hand. Next, select one crate from your hand and place it into your stall, scoring points based on the produce visible on your board.

The more matching produce you can connect with or build upon, the more points you score when placing a crate. Every placement can help develop your stock, while also shaping your opportunities for future turns.

Points from placing crates are only part of the challenge. At the end of the game, each produce type awards bonus points to the player who has the most crates of that type, making it important to watch the competition and decide which markets to pursue.

Market Fresh also includes smaller market stalls and a Crate Heights variant. These options add extra challenge for players who want to build taller stands, while supporting different ways to approach the market.
