Flix Mix

About this board game

Flix Mix is a colour-recognition game for 2–4 players, with a play time of about 20 minutes. Released in 2004, it challenges everyone to identify colour combinations as quickly as possible.

Each card shows six different colours arranged in a particular pattern. At the start, one card is revealed in the middle of the table, giving all players a shared pattern to examine.

Players then race to get rid of their cards. To play a card, place it partially on top of another card so that at least two colours exactly overlap. The changing arrangements make every decision a test of visual recognition and concentration.

• Race to discard cards as quickly as possible.

The challenge is not only to spot a possible match, but to keep the colours clear while the action moves quickly. It is easy to confuse one colour with another, such as red and blue, or to play an incorrect combination.
