About this board game

Yonder is a mid-weight worker placement game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Across five rounds, you will journey to a distant shore and transform a boatload of workers, resources, and food into a sprawling settlement and thriving community.

Your settlement rises at the edge of a mysterious city, and every decision begins with where you place your workers. Collect resources, gather food, and harness each species’ special power to make the most of the opportunities available to you.

Expansion is central to your progress. Direct the growth of your settlement by constructing the buildings you need in order to thrive. When your own facilities are not enough, dispatch workers to other players’ settlements, trading manpower for access to their buildings and capabilities.

Throughout the game, a steady stream of envoys offers lucrative contracts. Pursue as many as you can, but keep an eye on your commitments: taking on more than your settlement can sustain may create difficult challenges.

With resource management, settlement building, interaction between growing communities, and contract decisions woven together, Yonder asks you to balance immediate needs against long-term expansion. The distant shore is waiting; decide how your workers, food, resources, and opportunities will shape the settlement you found.
