IceTowers

About this board game

IceTowers is a real-time, simultaneous-play game for 2–5 players that takes about 10 minutes to play. Players stack smaller pyramids on top of larger pyramids to control them, creating a fast and distinctive tabletop experience.

IceTowers is an actual boxed game that uses Icehouse Pieces. The set also offers more versatility beyond its own rules: with it, players can play nearly any of the Icehouse games.

The IceTowers set uses a color scheme of purple, white, clear, and pale blue. This differs from the red, yellow, and green colors referenced in some Icehouse game rules, so players may encounter mild confusion when matching those descriptions to the pieces.

Rules for IceTowers were included in Icehouse: The Martian Chess Set, in a shared booklet with Ice Traders, a predecessor to Homeworlds. The game is also included in Pyramid Arcade.

IceTowers was sold for a time by Looney Labs but is currently discontinued. Earlier references, including Playing With Pyramids, listed it for 3–5 players, while later official references give the player range as 2–5.
