About this board game
Steel Arena: Friday Night Robot Fight is a 2–4-player robot combat game with an approximately 60-minute play time, set in a post-apocalyptic arena where the show must go on.
Each player controls a robot and battles to eliminate the others across a modular arena. The arena is built from hexes that provide spaces for movement, while modules can be picked up during the fight and used to upgrade a robot into a more dangerous machine.
On each turn, players activate their robot’s modules in different combinations. These combos let a robot turn, move, attack, and defend, creating tactical choices as players position themselves and unleash their weapons.
- Melee weapons for close-range attacks
- Direct-fire and plunging-fire weapons
- Explosive and acoustic weapons
Damage has a lasting impact: when an opponent’s robot is damaged, its modules are destroyed, and the attacker can take the damaged module as a trophy. These trophies provide victory points, making every successful hit matter beyond the immediate fight.
Steel Arena: Friday Night Robot Fight supports a cruel duel, a team battle with up to four robots, or a chaotic battle where everyone fights everyone else. The game ends when one of the robots is completely eliminated or when the module stack runs out. The player with the most trophies wins, proving that even after the apocalypse, the spectacle continues.
