About this board game

Barrage: The Legendary Box is a 1–5 player board game experience with an approximately 120-minute play time, combining the Barrage base game with the Far Companies Expansion.

The expansion adds rules for two new companies, used alongside the four base companies and the fifth company introduced in The Leeghwater Project. Each new company has distinctive mechanics and components that set it apart from the standard companies.

• Japanese company: Uses Bases and Elevations inspired by earth-fill dams. Its Elevations can be used as Bases, significantly increasing the number of Dams that can be built, but these dams are limited in height and therefore capacity. Its Elevations require Excavators instead of Concrete Mixers.
• Brazilian company: Focuses on versatility. Bases, Elevations, and Conduits can be built in any order from its board, offering a wider choice of strength and bonus types. Components connected to stronger bonuses permanently remove one or more machinery.

Both companies unlock a special company ability when their third powerhouse is built, adding another defining feature to their development. Their unique construction rules and components provide clearly differentiated ways to approach the game.

Released in 2025, Barrage: The Legendary Box brings together the base game and Far Companies Expansion in one package. The Legendary Box was also sold separately without any games included, containing only inserts.
