About this board game
Morisi is a board game for 2–4 players about connecting cities through trade routes, with play lasting around 45 minutes.
The goal is to link cities, shown as gray hexes, by building trade routes across Morisi’s diverse economic regions. Each region represents a different part of the economy and creates the landscape through which trade must develop.
- Farmland, shown in yellow
- Pastures, shown in orange
- Wineries, shown in red
- Timberland, shown in green
- Fisheries, shown in blue
Before trade routes can be built, players must gain knowledge of these region types. They do so by traveling through the regions with their pawns, making exploration an essential step before expanding the trade network.
Once routes can be constructed, players work to connect the cities across Morisi. Their success is represented in the connected cities by the size and number of their trading houses, providing a visible measure of their trading presence.
Morisi is a multiplayer reimplementation of Isi, reimplemented by Netzwerk. First released in 2000, it combines pawn movement through distinct economic regions with the construction of city-to-city trade routes and the growth of trading houses.
