About this board game

Lairs: Kickstarter Edition is a two-player dungeon-building and exploration game for ages 10 and up, played in about 40 minutes.

Each player creates a challenging catacomb using walls, traps, treasures, and monsters, then attempts to navigate the rival dungeon. Success requires guile, deduction, and a little luck as you map a path through dead ends, overcome enchanted monsters, survive traps, and search for valuable treasures.

Players begin with their own set of skills and develop as adventurers throughout the challenge. To earn a place in the Adventurers Guild, you must complete the labyrinth your opponent designed and escape with the most valuable collection of treasure. Only one player can pass the exam.

The Kickstarter Edition expands the experience with the Lairs: Adventurer’s Pack. Unique attribute cubes unlock powerful abilities, while four tuckboxes and a vault box introduce impactful new concepts. Six envelopes add content for concepts already familiar from the game.

It also includes a selection of Kickstarter-exclusive components and extras:

• Two customized full-size pencils, a Hungry Blob eraser, and a Hungry Blob enameled metal pin
• Six real metal treasure chests, three wooden start tiles, and two wooden exit tiles
• An exclusive monster with two matching wooden monsters, plus an exclusive trap with two matching cardboard trap tiles
• A new treasure set containing three treasures and an exclusive gold-foiled Guild Membership card
• The Skelepede boss monster mini-expansion

With its head-to-head dungeon design and exploration challenge, Lairs: Kickstarter Edition makes every hidden route, dangerous encounter, and hard-won treasure part of the race to join the Guild.
