WolfWalkers: My Story

About this board game

WolfWalkers: My Story is a competitive card game for two players that takes about 25 minutes to play. Using cards illustrated with scenes from the Wolfwalkers movie, players build their own connected 5×5 grid while competing for the highest score.

Each turn, choose one of six available double-sided cards from a shared deck and add it to your grid. You also take either one of the two available Objective cards or one of the four Story cards. Every card placed after your first must be adjacent to another card, making each choice part of your growing arrangement.

Objectives challenge you to score in different ways. They may reward a particular shape formed by your cards, place importance on icons appearing in the same row or column as the objective, or require you to collect the same number of certain icons anywhere in your 5×5 grid.

• Shapes: Create a specific arrangement of cards.
• Arrows: Place the required icons in the indicated row or column.
• Equations: Match icon quantities across your completed grid.

Once both players have completed their grids, the game ends. Count the points earned from your objectives, and the player with the most points wins.

An included expansion adds more options and interaction. For a small change, add one Permanent card of your choice. For advanced play, add one Permanent card and three random Opportunity cards: Permanent cards change gameplay in general, while Opportunity cards provide a special once-per-game ability.

With 15 Permanent cards and 25 Opportunity cards, WolfWalkers: My Story offers many combinations. A second copy allows up to four players to join the game.
