About this board game

Thorgal: The Card Game is a 1–4 player adventure card game with an approximate play time of 90 minutes. Lead one of four factions—Vikings, People of the Stars, Outlaws, or Magnates—and guide a party of allies drawn from the Thorgal graphic novel series.

Build your group by equipping its characters with a wide range of items. Your party can use everyday objects, weapons, armour, and ships, as well as ancient or technological artifacts and animal companions. Once prepared, they set out on dangerous quests to conquer other lands.

• Choose from four distinct factions.
• Gather allies from the world of Thorgal.
• Equip your party with items, ships, artifacts, and animal companions.
• Play cards with permanent or instant effects to overcome obstacles.
• Face heroes, mythological creatures, and obstacles from an opponent’s Deck of Doom.

Questing parties must overcome the challenges placed in their path. To help them succeed, play cards that provide lasting advantages or immediate effects. Meanwhile, an opponent can use their own heroes, mythological creatures, and obstacles from the Deck of Doom to try to bring your party to defeat.

Successfully conquering a chosen land rewards you with a priceless horn, which also counts as a victory point, along with an immediate bonus. However, your success gives your opponent a new ability to use in later rounds, making every conquest carry consequences.

Thorgal: The Card Game ends when one player gains a third horn or when someone runs out of cards in their Deck of Destiny. Released in 2025, it combines faction leadership, party equipment, dangerous quests, and direct card-based opposition in a dramatic struggle for conquest.
