DreadBall Xtreme is a two-player futuristic sports game played in about 45 minutes, where rival teams battle to outscore each other in a lawless underground competition.

As the follow-up to DreadBall: The Futuristic Sports Game, it brings an all-new level of danger to the pitch. There is no referee to stop the violence, so sucker punches and stomps are part of the action. Explosive collars, deadly traps, and bloodsucking aliens make every contest even more hazardous.

Each game can take place in a different kind of improvised arena. Matches are organized in prisons and warehouses at a moment’s notice, while industrial scenery lets you customize the battlefield. Important locations can shift from game to game, including the scoring zone and the place where the ball launches.

Players take the role of enigmatic Sponsors, the powerful organizers behind the sport. These figures dictate your play-style and operate through intimidation, blackmail, and illegal gambling. Their influence also lets you create entirely unique teams from any available player combination.

Released in 2015, DreadBall Xtreme is a standalone game set in the same world as DreadBall. It is cross-compatible with DreadBall, but the original game is not required to play, making this a complete entry into the brutal all-new ball game.
