Sorcerer & Stones is a 2017 game for 1–4 players, with a playing time of about 60 minutes, in which players pursue enlightenment through Taoist study, spiritual stones, and Qi, the life energy.

The game draws on the idea of the Xian, or “godly spirit,” described as the final form a human can achieve through training and enlightenment. A Xian is practically immortal and possesses godly powers, making this transformation the ultimate goal of the players’ journey.

Set during the early Qin Dynasty, Sorcerer & Stones presents a world shaped by Taoist fascination with immortality. Players travel back to the ancient kingdom and attempt to increase their chances of enlightenment by controlling spiritual stones and Qi.

Through the study of Taoism, players rise among their peers in a race toward transcendence. Each participant seeks to be the first to achieve enlightenment, become a Xian, and attain immortality.

The game’s setting is rooted in the legends born from the intense search for spiritual advancement. Its central ideas combine ancient Taoist aspirations with a competitive race, placing players on parallel paths toward the same extraordinary destination.

Whether approached as a journey into Taoist mythology or as a contest for spiritual supremacy, Sorcerer & Stones focuses on the pursuit of enlightenment. Control the forces represented by spiritual stones and Qi, study Taoism, and strive to rise above your peers before another seeker reaches the final stage first.
